Welcome to Redditch Fencing Club
For those that weren’t able to attend the membership meeting; the committee talked through recent committee discussions covering the challenges facing the club restarting and have agreed on changes that the club will need to make to successfully respond.
There is considerable work that needs to be done for a successful restart, the majority of this falling to the coaching team and more specifically Sam & Hannah. They live a distance from the club’s current venue and have weekend commitments with their own children. It will be very challenging to undertake the work needed for the restart, while based a distance from the club’s venue and recruitment area.
In light of this, the club will be moving to a weekday evening (Wednesdays 6-9.30pm) and Heathfield Knoll School (nr Wolverley) from the 15th September.
We would love to see many of our current members there, but fully understand the changes may no longer make attending practical and we would greatly recommend Cocks Moor Woods Fencing Club as a club nearer to Redditch.
As we went into Lockdown in March 2020, we hired out equipment to many members and ask that this is returned asap, to allow the club to undertake a full inventory. We will also be able to return your deposit. We will be at the M42 Hopwood service (9-11am) on Saturday 17th July for equipment return. We will be contacting everyone who has Redditch Fencing club equipment, but would really appreciate your support in returning the club’s equipment.
Redditch Fencing Club is a member of British Fencing Association (BFA)
